Big Day in Seattle

Up early for yogurt parfait at Portage Bay Cafe that's loaded with raisins, berries, and whole grains.

My husband had the hearty scramble with potatoes, eggs and spinach. Yum!

Off to one of my favorite quilt stores in Bellevue, Quiltworks Northwest.  They have a great selection of fabrics and patterns.  I went on a basic neutral fabric shopping spree. I have lots of novelty fabric and needed fabric to go with them.   O.k., I did sneak a piece of banana fabric in I couldn't help it.After a long day of shopping, we went to our favorite vegetarian Thai food called Araya's  for dinner. We ordered fresh spring rolls with tangy sweet sauce. My favorite is the Rad na with delicious wide rice noodles and veggies. You can choose the amount of heat in your dishes with a 1 thru 5 scale.  I chose 2 and it was just right for me.With the last grain of rice almost done, it's time to head back to hotel and rest up  for the next big day in Seattle.

doesnt look that warm in seattle but i bet warmer than here! it snowed all day saturday, can you believe it?!! wow! it is 30 already but was 18 when i woke up. this is not good for my flowers that are struggling outside. that quilt shop looks pretty awesome. the quilt show was a success and now i have to mail max his quilt.he is so cute. i just elton would step up to the plate. oh well, nothing i can do there...i tried my best. the blueberries dont seem to mind too much, no action from the raspberry patch yet. when we came last year everything was pretty much crankin but of course this winter has been longer and colder, so....well, i hope you guys have a great angela coming home for the summer or staying in washington?

hey sis,

Thanks for the trip to Seattle! I'm way overdue for one. I'd like to say that Vermont is the epicenter of thai cuisine but its just not true. I would have really enjoyed a shopping and eating day with you. The banana fabric is the perfect addition to the funky monkey fabrics from Maine I sent to you. I especially like the tan polka dot fabric, Happy safe travels, your sis
